Sanctuary Dogs
Sanctuary dogs are what we refer to this gorgeous group as.
These are dogs that, for one reason or another, would struggle in a regular household, so they have a forever safe home here with us. We don't put any unrealistic expectations on the dogs. They are free to do as they please and it seems to work. They're happy and that's the way we like it. Some may have health issues or have perhaps reached a ripe old age, where we feel it may not be fair to them to rehome at this point in their life.
Let's meet the home guard....

Lassie
Lassie has spent over 10 years living in a municipal pound. She is now living kennel-free in a comfortable home environment at our sanctuary.
Please support our work to help give old or sick dogs like Lassie a happy, dignified retirement.

Julietta
Julietta has spent over 10 years living in a municipal pound. She is now living kennel-free in a comfortable home environment at our sanctuary.
Please support our work to help give old or sick dogs like Julietta a happy, dignified retirement.

Ruby
Ruby is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She will happily settle into your lap and give you lots of kisses! She is now 12 years old, however, and needs ongoing veterinary care. Please support our work to help give lovely old dogs like Ruby the security, love and happiness they deserve for the rest of their lives.

Womble
Womble was adopted and in her forever home for 2 years when she got into a fight with one of the resident dogs and was returned to us. She now lives in a comfortable home environment at our sanctuary.
Please support our work to help give dogs like Womble the security, love and happiness they deserve for the rest of their lives.

Jessie
We found Jessie in a tragic state. She had severe trauma to her head which caused both eyes to rupture resulting in her having one eye removed and leaving the other eye blind. Despite this she was adopted. However the resident dogs wouldn't take to her so for her own wellbeing she came back to us. She has totally blossomed despite her blindness and is enjoying life in the sanctuary.
Please support our work to help give dogs like Jessie the security, love and happiness they deserve for the rest of their lives.

Buster
Buster was rescued from a killing station in Spain.
We saved him in the nick of time. He came to us with
a horrendous wound on his neck and fur so matted he had to be shaved.
He's been with us a long time and in his advancing years has gained sanctuary status.
Please support our work to help give dogs like Jessie the security, love and happiness they deserve for the rest of their lives.

Dusty
Dusty is 15 years old and is unlikely to tolerate a move, and so lives as a sanctuary dog with us.
Please support our work to help give old or sick dogs like Dusty a happy, dignified retirement.

Alfie
Alfie came back to us after being in his forever home for almost 5 years. He was only 4 months old when he was adopted. Our vet contacted us to say she had been instructed to put him to sleep because he'd allegedly bitten a child that he'd grown up with. He now lives happily with us as a sanctuary dog.
